Website Image Inspector – Privacy Policy

Website Image Inspector analyzes image-related information on the webpage currently selected by the user.

Data processed
When the user clicks “Scan”, the extension processes website content required to perform the image audit, including image URLs, image dimensions, rendered dimensions, alt text, width and height attributes.

How the data is used
This information is used only to display the requested image audit results to the user.

Data transmission and storage
All analysis is performed locally in the user’s browser. Website content analyzed by the extension is not transmitted to our servers, stored remotely, sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising, profiling or analytics.

Permissions
The extension uses the activeTab permission to temporarily access the webpage explicitly selected by the user and the scripting permission to perform the requested image analysis.

Data retention
The extension does not retain analyzed website content after the extension popup is closed.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
